The
Bombay High Court Monday disposed a set of petitions seeking prompt
action to investigate the alleged cheating case involving investment
scheme City Limouzines.
The
petitioners, who claim to have been cheated by the scheme, approached
the court after cheques issued to them bounced in August 2009.
The
court disposed of the case after it was informed that the chairman of
the group Sayed Masood was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in
December last year.
The court said petitioners can approach the court at a later stage if they are dissatisfied with the investigation.
The
ED has registered a case against Masood under the Prevention of Money
Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002, as also sections of the Indian Penal Code
pertaining to cheating and fraud.
